JUNIOR CHURCH

The Junior Church share in the Sunday morning Church service at 10 am for the first ten minutes and then have their own 'Roots' lectionary based lessons with activities in the adjoining hall. We are a child friendly Church with a modern building that encourages children to be involved in the services. A crèche with toys is provided for babies and younger children.

THURSDAY'S CHILD

Thursday's Child meets in term time from 3 - 4.30 pm. The weekly sessions begin with refreshments and news.

Then there are action songs followed by a video illustrating a Bible story or religious event

The children then demonstrate their understanding of the the story and its message through drama and creativity, sometimes we do cookery.

Thursday's Child and Junior Church take part in church services for Nativity, Mothering Sunday and Harvest Festival and especially, being in Cornwall, Harvest of the Sea.

CHILDREN'S RAINBOW CHOIR

The Children's Rainbow Choir practise in the church each Saturday morning between 10 - 11 am

They have perfomed around the St Austell Circuit from Synod to Harvest Supper and gift Days, besides putting on their own fun concerts.

THE BROWNIES

The 1st St Austell Brownies meet here every Wednesday from 5.30 -7 pm.

Aged between 7 and 10 years old they enjoy working for badges, playing games, singing songs, making things and trying new and challenging activities.

BUTTERFLIES & BABIES

This group for babies and toddlers meets on Tuesday mornings. The little ones enjoy the toys, games, stories and songs and the Mums and Grannies enjoy meeting together for a chat and cup of tea or coffee.

Having a new baby often means that all the ties with your working life and friends are cut for a time and this group provides a social opportunity to make new friends in a relaxed way while your baby enjoys the freedom of a bigger space than they are used to as they learn to interact with other little people.
